In the spring of 2021, FURO SYSTEMS approached CBF for help with order processing for their e-bikes and e-scooters and to become their 3PL provider to help them focus on growing their business and sales both domestically and internationally.

Each container arriving from the manufacturer would be checked against their respective Purchase Order and ASN paperwork, logged on our warehouse management system and located in our warehouse.

All orders would then be processed, scanning each item via barcode verification, logging their respective Serial Numbers for each model of electric bike or electric scooter to their corresponding order. 

Once labelled, the large parcels would then be handed securely over to either our bespoke Two-Man Lift service, delivering across the UK and Northern Ireland, or across Europe and the rest of the world via an ‘oversized’ courier service.

Due to the size and weight of the products, we implemented a number of processes to ensure the safety of our Warehouse team when handling the electric bicycles.

As a star client, we worked hard with FURO SYSTEMS to ensure all our processes were slick, clearly verified and logged on all systems so we knew the exact serial number for each item on every order.

Goods-In

Containers and pallets, serial number inbound logging, products labelled and located in oversized pallet bays.

Storage

Our volumetric storage model saved Furo from dedicated overheads for space they didn't need to be allocated to them. Calculated Daily our software manages everything using the dimensions of the products in our warehouses.

Order Processing

Directly integrating into a Shopify platform, we were taking pre-orders into our system.  Ready for processing once the stock had landed with us.

We were then picking, barcode verifying and serial number allocating to the order for warranty purposes. 

All D2C orders are polled for orders every 15 minutes to enable same-day dispatch SLA. 

All wholesale orders are planned and scheduled for customers' shipment planning and timeline agreements.

Dispatch

D2C: Same Day Dispatch processing - Either Dedicated vehicle routing or Parcelforce 48 Large Service used for all D2C shipments. 

Wholesale orders are shipped on oversized pallets through pallet networks or dedicated vehicles to retail outlets and online retailer distribution hubs. 

Returns Processing

All returned bikes and scooters were scanned back in for serial number management.  Out shipping carton assessed for planning back into picking stock, quarantine processing or destruction. 

All returns are processed within the agreed 72 working hour period.
